Prof. Anshul Gandhi Wins 2019 ACM SIGMETRICS Rising Star Research Award

ACM SIGMETRICS is pleased to announce the selection of Prof. Anshul Gandhi of Stony Brook University as the recipient of the 2019 ACM SIGMETRICS Rising Star Research Award. Prof. Anshul Gandhi got the award for fundamental contributions to the analysis, modeling, design, and implementation of energy-efficient systems in data centers and cloud computing.

Prof. Anshul Gandhi is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Stony Brook University. He is broadly interested in systems and performance modeling, or applying theory to systems. His research aims to leverage mathematical tools such as {Performance Modeling,Queueing Theory,Control Theory} to analyze the behavior of systems such as {Distributed Systems,Cloud,Data Centers} and to optimize metrics of interest such as {Performance,Power,Energy}.
